About Me

A Cornishman born and bred wayyyy back in the early 60’s, living in the north Cornish coastal village of St.Agnes, where my family go back 7 generations! Before starting in voice overs, I was heavily into two major passions in my life. Surfing and Music. They both still are, but not quite as much. Spending most of my time on the beach and in the sea, I learned to surf at the age of 11, and went on to get heavily involved in the sport during the 80's. I was fortunate enough to be one of the competing local surfers in the very first Pro-Am surf contest held at Fistral Beach, Newquay, in 1981. I was also lucky enough to surf with and against, some of the top surfers in the world at that time!

After about 10 years of playing music in local bands, I became a full time professional musician. 1989….and I was off on my first contract as a pro muso!!  Copenhagen. 5 star Hotel. 3 months playing in a cocktail style band as the Bass player.

Since then, over the years, I have travelled and worked in many places around the world such as: the USA, Russia, Caribbean, UAE, Cyprus, and the Artic Circle to name a few, working on cruise ships (P&O, Fred Olsen) and luxury Hotels such as Hilton and Thanos Hotels.

Worked with a ton of great musicians and entertainers, some very well known, some not. I’ve also got a substantial amount of Construction work experience. And one thing both of these work experiences have taught me. Is how to work with a team and as team.

With my voiceover work, I work independently, but in order to get the final end result, as the  British Voice Over for a project, I have to be part of the team. To be able to bring the project script to life. Make it come alive for the listener. And this will, more often than not these days, involve working with some type of video.

Whether it’s a corporate presentation, e-learning or training video, an audio tour guide for a museum app, or art gallery exhibition. A commercial for a social media advert campaign.

What ever it is, the Voiceover has to be able to communicate well with the client and the team that’s usually involved with putting all the pieces together.

That’s why after all the years of working in bands as a professional musician and communicating with various other individuals and organisations as a band leader. My experience in construction, working with clients, architects, trades people. I feel that I have a great background which enables me to interpret my clients requirements well, and deliver high quality voice overs that make the project shine! A professional British male Voice over that breathes life into a script. Delivering affordable, professional voiceovers with passion and pride. Delivered on time and on budget.

And so, even with a varied and flexible British voice, I tend to specialise in the corporate style of voiceovers using my natural accent free British male voice. Anything from corporate presentation videos, product launches, exhibitions, to audio tour guides for museums, art galleries and walking tours.

E-Learning and training is another area of corporate voiceover work, that needs a clear, engaging yet friendly voice. Especially if your audience doesn’t have English as their first language.

So let me be the voice for your next project. Bringing your brand, service or product to life with passion, professionalism and pride!
