Rates Guide

Different genres are charged in different ways. The best approach, whatever your project, is to get in touch and ask for a custom quote. I'll get it to you quickly and it'll be accurate. So the more information I have relating to your project, the more accurate my quote will be for you.

There are 2 main factors in quoting for a project: The type of project and the usage. So please see the How It Works page for more information.

The majority of Voiceover pricing is based around a standard rate called a 'Basic Session Fee', or BSF, and this is the starting point for engaging my voice and using my studio and equipment for your project.

As a British voiceover, my rates are therefore listed in UK pounds sterling. However, feel free to inform me of any payment structures you are working with internationally.

My BSF is £225 and includes the following;

Script preparation & warm up.
Performance of voiceover up to 1 hour.
Recording and use of personal professional studio and equipment.
Audio clean up, editing and optimisation.
Minor pick ups included within 7 days.
24-hour delivery on most projects.
24bit WAV file or file format of your choice.
Up to 45 minutes remote directed session, if needed.
File splitting up to 10 files.
Corrections due to an error by me.

Any script amendments once recording has started will be quoted separately.

Basic Session Fee Standard Add Ons

Basic session fee: £225 this covers up to one hour.
Additional time: For each additional 30 minutes after 1st hour: £85 per 30 minutes.
Extra file splitting: £25 per extra batch of 10 files. (Discount for bulk file processing)

Remote Directed Session via: Zoom, Cleanfeed, Teams

Included where appropriate, in BSF up to 45 minutes. Extended directed sessions or dedicated studio bookings, charged at £75 per hour. Minimum 48hrs notice please.

Usage & Licensing (Typical Add-Ons)

Corporate - Internal Only:
The voiceover that is only used internally, on a local intranet, communicated to employees or sent between parts of your organisation:
BSF: £225. Usage fee included in BSF.

Corporate - Non Paid - Promoted:
A Corporate voiceover that isn't being featured on 'paid' promotional platforms, but is featured on a company website, YouTube or social media:
BSF: £225 + 100% of BSF for 12 months.
Example: Corporate presentation video featured on company website for one year: £225 + £225 = £450

Explainer/Animation Videos:

Explainer videos tend to be around 1 to 4 minutes in length, and feature an animated or whiteboard style of explanation of a topic and are used online, for un-paid promotion.

BSF: £225. Usage fee would be based on the estimated reach of the project and how long it will be used for. Varies from 50% to 400% of the BSF.

Example: A small company wants a 2 minute explainer video for their website and want to run it for 2 years. BSF; £225 + £675 x 2 (200% per year) = £1,350

Broadcast work: TV / Radio: Regional, National, International: As per GFTB guidelines.

Audio Tours:
For audio tour projects, this is charged per word. Minimum 1,500 words.
Price Per Word: £0.15 per word.
Example: A script containing 3,000 words with local non commercial usage: £0.15 x 3,000 = £450 usage in perpetuity.
For any type of commercial use eg: Paid exhibitions, Museums, Art Galleries, Audio Guided Walks, VR (Virtual Reality), 100% of total words count for 12 months.

Example: Audio Guided Walk of 2,600 words: £0.15 x 2,600 = £390 + £390 = £780

APPS:

For commercial use eg; Apps/paid downloads (GooglePlay, Apple Store etc), with a Global digital reach, or for any type of profit: 200% of total word count for 12 months.

E-Learning:
For e-learning projects, this is charged per word. Minimum 1,500 words.
Price Per Word: £0.15 per word.
Usage Fee: Included in the Price Per Word
Example: A script containing 6,000 words with usage and file splitting up to 10 files: 0.15 x 6,000 = £900

Corporate Phone Messaging/IVR Prompts
First prompt is £50.
Each additional prompt/message is £15.
No usage fee.
Minimum order £50

Any voice samples, demo recordings, or completed voiceover recordings supplied by Nick Radcliffe Voiceover, whether provided directly or made available through this website, are licensed solely for their intended purpose. The use of such recordings for artificial intelligence training, machine learning, voice cloning, text-to-speech (TTS), synthetic voice generation, or any other form of synthetic voice replication is strictly prohibited without prior written consent and a separately negotiated licence. AI, voice cloning and synthetic voice rights are not included in standard project quotations and must be separately negotiated where applicable.

OK. So it's pretty complex all these different rates etc. And every voiceover project is different, therefore each quote will be different, so please email me about the project you have and we can have a chat about your requirements. Just remember, the more information you can give me about your project requirements: the type of voice you are looking for, where the voiceover will be used and for how long, etc. the more accurate my quote will be.
